It was Father’s day and the pastor commented that we should all go home and tell our father that we loved him.  I did and my father was surprised that I did.  I am sure he cared for me but it was not verbalized.   Later I read of a story of a newly married couple driving to their house in a horse and buggy and the bride asked the husband if he loved her.   He  replied that “ I told you once that I love you and if I change my mind I will let you know.”
That story impacted my life.  It is important to tell your loved ones you love them.  When I married my wife I did not want a day go by without her being told  that I love her and I did  many times on various occasions in the day.
She responded years ago by drawing a picture reflecting herself with the words,  Good Morning love. It was on a small piece of paper that she placed in my chest  of drawers with my under ware.   I would see it every morning.  It was a joyful message of love  to me in my response  of love to her.  What  a wonderful loving  reminder!
